Questions to Ask Yourself Before You Go On A River Trip.
First, why are you going?
It may not
be as obvious as it seems! People go on river trips for different reasons. If
you take the time to think about and express your desires to the outfitter
before you book a trip, you will find a trip that's a good fit for you (your
friends and family) - and be well worth your time and money. You won't end up
on a family float trip with five year olds if what you really want is to test
your personal limits!
What are you looking for?
Lazy days
and mellow rapids? Exciting personal challenge? Do you want to learn new river
or other outdoor skills, or some natural history? Get up to speed on river
conservation issues? Do you want to have plenty of time with old friends, with
family, or to meet new friends? Do you want to experience a particular river
you've heard about?
